Policy, Strategy & Plans

Setting priorities, ensuring appropriate policy frameworks and articulating long term plans is a mainstay of work for Community Safety practitioners.

Emerging policy (state and federal) and changing population cohorts makes Community Safety an evolving and dynamic environment – sustaining the current successes and building to integrate change into effective policy, strategy and action.

Family violence, responsible gambling, public space CCTV, youth support and programs are all examples of social policy areas that have been added to the responsibilities local government address for their communities.

We have worked with major Councils to develop Community Safety Plans, Frameworks and to undertake Community Safety Service Reviews.

Do you need to revisit previous assumptions and strategy about emerging issues and setting priorities?

Would your team benefit from an experienced consultant/facilitator who could lead your team’s brainstorming and assist you to identify the core areas of stability and change?
